[ale] kmail copy-paste issue

this isn't driving me crazy, BUT it is repeatable, as in EVERY time..

I'm reading an email, I hilite the part I want to Reply-TO, and hit "R". the 
new window comes up and... not the text I hilighted is copied in, not sure if 
it is random, or the end of the email or what... Close that window, UNhilight 
the text, hilight the SAME text, hit "R" and yes, the correct text is in the 
window....
Debian Lenny, gnome window manager, and kmail.
