Sorry it's not Linux but I know some of you have worked around the
telephone industry and might be able to help.

Take a look at these two connectors. http://k4gvo.com/con.html
They are part of a phone system used by a call center. The first one is
a 3 wire circuit, headset with mike/ptt/earphone. The second is just a
handset. I would very much like to be able to use the headset plugged
into the jack that the handset goes to. I'm hoping the elements are
compatible but if they aren't I can work around that, but I need to find
a 2 wire plug, like the ones shown. I can use a pair of standard 1/4"
phone plugs, but if the whole plug is available somewhere I'd rather use
it. I also need a jack for the 3 wire circuit. That's the kicker. I
haven't been able to find anything like it. The old Collins radios used
one similar, but it was a slightly smaller diameter and besides,
cannibalizing old Collins gear is almost sacrilegious, not to mention
expensive.

If someone can identify that jack and/or refer me to somewhere I might
pick those parts up I'd sure appreciate it. I don't know what to call
that type of jack so I can't really do a search on it.

Obviously I'd rather have an inexpensive solution, like perhaps a
surplus/used equipment dealer.

Going to the dealer of the phone system is out of the question for
economic reasons.

Thanks,
Jim.
