I think the issue is using email is seen as "too slow" or for old farts. I
can get my daughter to respond to email by including discussions of funding
and/or food. I've also used text messaging to alert her to an email she
needs to read.

I refuse to use facebook. If someone wants _me_ to know something they can
stop being a lazy narcissist and send me an email.
