[ale] Linux without any of the XUBUNTU, GNOME, KUBUTNU but simple window manager

I'm running Xubuntu (ubuntu + XFCE) fairly comfortably on a P3 with
768 mb. It's got enough muscle to run Zope 2 and FireFox without any
obvious issues.

Alas, bruce ( http://code.google.com/p/bruce-tpt/ ) won't run on it
because it claims insufficient memory.
