[ale] [OT] pics from outlook or outlook express

The OST is the live file outlook file where local data is kept on your
PC workstation (it you tell it to keep a copy locally).

I've never tried to hack into either and OST or a PST but the former is
usually accessed when you login to Outlook so requires a password. The
PSTs can be made with or without passwords. When I open my PST files (I
create one for each year and password protect them) they always prompt
me for a password.

Doing a quick search for "hacking outlook OST file" returned several
hits (many of which WOT marked at RED or YELLOW meaning you shouldn't
trust them) but did have some including this that were marked green.
Among the things on this page was an Outlook Express password recovery
tool:

I'm not familiar with an OST file. Are you saying that Outlook has the
functionality of encrypting the data on the drive? I'm not familiar
with this either.
