[ale] what will happen to hulu

Interestingly NBC is the only one of the broadcast networks that wants me to pay a dollar for viewing each episode of their shows on demand on Comcast. Maybe Comcast just wants to get rid of that fee since they push on demand and know people aren't biting on the dollar charge.

Comcast is the 800lb gorilla in the cable markets. Neither FCC nor FTC
have had the hutzpah to stand and challenge them in the past. I expect
that will not with a simple "FCC likes net neutrality" speech. FTC
still thinks monopolies are a good thing (what are my choices again
for cable TV?).

However, Hulu is a money maker. And Concast likes money. What I expect
them to do is to do "traffic shaping" to enhance Hulu access while
turning down Hulu competitors.

End-to-end ownership from content production to consumer delivery is a
bothersome thing. Once the entire chain is controlled by a single
entity, the manipulation of public sentiment is easy.
