[ale] Mint login question

A followup to close the thread:

I'm not convinced this is the complete or ideal solution/workaround.  To me
it sound this can be modified in a config file somewhere.  But I can't find
it.  I eventually just used a workaround and placed a terminal shortcut in
the bottom panel.  Oh well, life's a compromise.
