    Not a problem at all.  I use piles and piles of subfolders with
multiples levels under Maildir and dovecot.  Looks kinda funny in the
Maildir directory, though.  The dot "." is the directory separator so
the mailbox linux/ale in my Maildir directory is "Maildir/.linux.ale".
It also means you can not have a "dot" in a Maildir folder name but a
Maildir folder can be both an active mailbox AND contain subdirectories
(which is not possible in mbox format at all).  If you're
using .procmail recipes, you have to be very careful how you specify
those directory paths (must begin with a dot and end with a slash) or
you'll have the wrong location or the wrong format.

MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir
DEFAULT=$MAILDIR/
