[ale] fstab question

This is a Ubuntu install. I am used to dealing with RH/Fedora distros.  So the
fstab file looks odd to me.  Yes, the UUIDs are unfamiliar as is the methodology
of assigning mount points.  Why not use /sda2, /sda3, and /sda4?
