[ale] [OFF TOPIC] (You've been warned) TSA wantsyourfingerprints

They didn't avoid religion. There is a constitutional prohibition
against establishing a church which in context is a synonym for "state
religion".

I wasn't saying there weren't things morally reprehensible but that
different people have different definitions of what is (often enough
driven by whatever their religious background is). Many find nudity
morally offensive whereas many don't. Many find violence on TV more
morally offensive than sex on TV and many others see it the other way
around. Our country's puritan heritage gives more voice to the latter
camp but that doesn't make it the "correct" point of view.

Specifically? One could easily say that the founding fathers avoided
religion just like they avoided race and sex... which we now know was
wrong.

free speech is much different than morally-free. It's ok for someone
to say they like sex with dogs, but it's a bit of a problem for them
to act on their desires.
