If it must come w/ ubuntu preinstalled, then it probably wont get easier 
than the Dell Inspiron Mini series.

Note that "easier" does not mean "better", for certain things...

I've heard some people hate on the keyboard...but I personally feel it's 
better than the eeepc

Also, I hear the HP netbook lines are v. nice, hardware-wise and 
design-wise, but I've never used their Mobile Internet Linux OS...
