[ale] php & apache2 on debian

this is driving me crazy!!!
I have apache up and running, and php5 & phpmyadmin is installed, but I can't 
get php to work.


when I try this:
http://paulandcilla.homelinux.org/phpmyadmin
I get this:
Not Found

The requested URL /phpmyadmin was not found on this server.

but this works:
http://paulandcilla.homelinux.org/

I've tried purging php5 & apache2, and reinstalling, but php still doesn't 
work.
any suggestions??
I had php working at one time, because I was able to install & configure 
gallery2, to get the photos up on my web page. SO, I'm not sure what went 
wrong or what to fix!?!?!???
