Oh god, don't remind me. I have had some nightmares with fakeraid's.  
Especially some of the crap that IBM and HP put out, finding windows  
compatible drives.... /shiver. I'm pretty much a lifelong customer of  
3ware when it comes to raid cards, though I find myself having to deal  
with LSI cards at work quite a bit.
