[ale] system freezes

Well if RAM and power are OK (likely are after 24hrs. and no errors w/
memtest) I suspect you may have issues with your hard drive. Does your hard
drive light stay on when the system freezes? Have you scanned the disk for
errors? Sleep mode/power settings on the hard drive?
