[ale] system freezes

Based on these scant details probably not. Can you be more specific? For
example:

      * At what point does it freeze? during boot up? after you login?
        after you start a particular app?
      * Is the system running X?
      * Is it a laptop? desktop? blade?
      * Does it hum merrily along for a while then randomly freeze? or
        does it consistently freeze at the same point?
      * After it freezes can you access it by other means? ssh? ping?
      * Are you forced to do a hard boot? or ctrl-alt-del?
