[ale] CentOS virtual appliance in Fusion

Hi.

I'm a Mac user with Fusion. I downloaded the CentOS 5.2 (Desktop, not
server) virtual appliance. I expanded the 7z file. Now I have a directory
that contains

CentOS5-f001.vmdk CentOS5-f005.vmdk CentOS5.vmx
CentOS5-f002.vmdk CentOS5.nvram CentOS5.vmxf
CentOS5-f003.vmdk CentOS5.vmdk users.txt
CentOS5-f004.vmdk CentOS5.vmsd users.txt~

What's the next step? I tried "Import", but all files are grayed out. I
tried "new VM" and then pointing to the vmdk file. That continued
"successfully', but the system panic'd when booting, complaining that
VolGroup00 doesn't exist. What's the secret?

I installed many flavors of Linux in VM's in the past, but it was always
from scratch - either from DVD/CD, the network, or an iso image. Never done
the appliance thingy. Any idea anybody?

 Thanks.
