G3 speeds are acceptable.  I can stream .977 80s or "Hitz" at 128kbps
without interruptions, though that's the most bandwidth-intensive thing
I do on my phone.  I also use Twitter and Wikipedia --- and Android has
a program, called QuickPedia, that makes referring to Wikipedia very
fast and easy.  Believe it or not, that was another selling point on
the phone for me.

That said, the speed you get will be dictated by the signal quality you
have with the towers.  You can also use the device over WiFi, if you
need to do something that requires more bandwidth than the cell network
permits.
