Hi.

I use vsound for this

Vsound is a Linux/Unix application which allows you to digitally record the 
output of another program such as RealPlayer. The recorded output can be saved 
to a WAV file or can be piped into another program such as an MP3 encoder.

It is exactly the same as you would get if you plugged in a loopback cable from 
the line out and line in jacks, except it does it with software.
