Actually, 32-bit versus 64-bit has nothing to do with it. It's because 
he's using nspluginwrapper with 64-bit. The nice thing about that is that 
when flash crashes, it doesn't take out firefox. Many people use 
nspluginwrapper even on 32-bit for that reason....
