Well, I'll be.  Your Google-fu is stronger than mine, for sure.  That
certainly did the trick---that is awfully annoying.  Looks like I'll be
attempting to figure out just how to squash that one on a more permanent
basis other than adding a command to /etc/rc.local to restart
nfs-common.  Thanks for that link!
