The CentOS group decided that they would change the way that RH
maintains the releases file. Because it says that it is version 5 and
not 5.0 or 5.1, it means that it is tracking the latest release, so it
will automatically update as each point release is made. If it had
said 5.0 or 5.1, then the release is nailed down to that specific
point release and will not upgrade automatically. If the kernel
version on that machine is 2.6.18-53.* then it is on the 5.1 release
and all is good.
