I'm in need a two more unix geeks with some networking exposure for a 
Full Time W2 Gig. Details are:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions
Systems Administration
•	Configure and maintain servers, operating systems and support 	
	systems in production and lab environments.
•	Monitors system and database backups and performs restorations,
	when necessary
•	Design, configure and care for systems monitoring, alarming, and
	notification, and load balancing.
•	Maintains networked server user accounts, rights, and privileges
	Field Issues
•	Will work with NOC Support and Field Service to identify, 	
	determine impact of, and prioritize field issues related product
•	Responsible for identification, isolation, correlation, impact
	definition, and prioritization of field issues.
•	Works with Development and possibly vendors to drive issues to
	resolution.
•	Works with internal operations groups to deploy resolutions for
	issues once resolved.


Know How
Four-year technical degree (BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronic 
Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, 
Software Engineering, etc.) and two years relevant experience or four 
years equivalent technical experience required. Previous experience 
working in a hardware or software engineering environment and/or NOC is 
preferred.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
Must be able to prioritize and complete project tasks with minimal 
supervision.  Familiarity with the Unix Operating System and Unix 
scripting experience is essential.  Software coding experience, 
debugging, and databasing experience preferred. Use of MS Word, Excel, 
Access, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.

Problem Solving
This position requires the ability to troubleshoot in identifying and 
isolating issues with deployed hardware and software platforms.  SEs 
will work individually and with various internal and external groups to 
identify and define possible solutions, along with each options pros and 
cons.  The incumbent will work individually and in large team settings 
as appropriate in selecting the best option for resolution.
