Jim,

In addition, you might also want to look into implementing SPF to
attempt to mitigate as much spoofing as you can for non-ALE
recipients.

It is a 2 part activity.  You update your DNS records to show
ligitimate SMTP originators for your domain.

Then the recipient mail servers have to be setup to verify that email
originates from one of your authorized SMTP servers.

I believe a number of large email providers have their servers
configured to perform the check.  ie. Gmail, AOL, etc. have it
implemented.
