[ale] Mount an ISO file?

Yep, you can point your virtual CDROM to the iso file.  Also you CAN
run your preinstalled OS directly from the partition with VMWare, I do
this all the time at work.

If this is just a copy of your original partition, is it really an ISO
or is it just a raw disk image?  If it's a raw disk image you can
convert it to a VMDK with qemu-img.  Keep in mind your original
windows might not have the correct mass storage drivers to boot.  Try
a 'repair' from your XP CD if that's the case.

Oh and this will probably break activation as well, just so you are prepared.
