I keep busy out here running around the country and do not have time to learn java. I come from the hardware side and do not program too much. Joomla! seems simple enough for CMS sites and this is going to be a CMS site. Listing several things for truck drivers to look at and plan their trips. Also rating things 1-10 and comment areas.

Are you dead-set on using Joomla? I've not used Joomla, but I have deployed sites using XOOPS (PHP) and Liferay(Java). PHP is generally easier to work with, but java is more powerful and a much more lucrative skill to have. Theme tweaking in Liferay is challenging at first, but once you get the theme the way you want it the content placement, SEO, and site structuring are really easy (through the web interface). Additionally, you can do name-based vhosting through the web interface in Liferay. Liferay may be a lot more than you need, but it is a cool product and since you are renting a server @ Godaddy, why not push it if you can do something really cool with it?

I am currently in a learning curve building a large website for myself. I am using Go Daddy, a linux server and Joomla 1.5. I uploaded it, installed it, and am working my way through a book on it. There is a standard webpage they have set up to fill the home page for my website for now. My problem is, will I have to keep an admin login on each website i start with this thing? I thought I could just log into Go Daddy and get there. This is some really nice stuff and I am just getting started.
