Requiring login to edit a wiki page can't be far from the norm these 
days. For my own use at http://polibyte.com/wiki, I'm happy with 
wikkawiki. It's lightweight but has nifty features like code 
highlighting and downloading. It also has a per-page ACL system; to 
accomplish what you want, you'd have to set the edit acl on each page to 
"+", which stands for registered users.

The main downside to wikkawiki is that there's only one supported 
authentication mechanism, although there are patches floating around for 
at least PAM, phpbb, and basic httpauth. Also, it lacks a user 
management panel by default, although there's an extension that adds one.

If you don't have enough content to justify a database backend, dokuwiki 
is pretty nice.
