Howdy,

I'm upgrading my Fedora 7 system to Fedora 8. Since my DVD is flaky,
and all of my partitions except /boot are LVM'ed, I'm doing the
upgrade via ftp from a Windows machine.

Everything goes fine until I get to the screen where I choose between
installing a fresh copy of Fedora, or upgrading an existing copy. I
click the "upgrade" radio button, click "next", and I get a pop-up
that says,

Unable to read group information from repositories. This is a
problem with the generation of your install tree.

Well, gee, I guess I've got a problem with the generation of my
install tree. Uh...any ideas on how I should go about fixing that?

Searching bugzilla and google doesn't return anything useful.

This doesn't have anything to do with / being an LVM partition, does
it? (I curse the day I switched over...)
