as soon as I said that, I got one in my email. It starts off like this:
------------------------------------------------
Your message

? To: ? ? ?Tom
? Subject: how about learning each other
? Sent: ? ?Sun, 1 Jul 2007 02:30:39 +0100

did not reach the following recipient(s):

Tom on Sun, 1 Jul 2007 02:24:06 +0100
? ? The recipient name is not recognized
????????The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=gb;a= ;p=natwest
group;l=EXCORE0080707010124L9FCFAN3
? ? MSEXCH:IMS:NatWest Group:CORE:EXCORE008 0 (000C05A6) Unknown Recipient
felthamdave.robinson at rbsif.co.uk on Sun, 1 Jul 2007 02:24:06 +0100
-----------------------------------
then it goes into the encapsulated message ( the REAL message) with a whole
paragraph of CR at P like this:
----------------------------------------
I feel like I am a little lost kitten. I don't have a strong man's shoulder
to lay on. I am writing to you as I <SNIP>
----------------------------------------------------

so, it looks like a real bounce, but they have a message for you...
even the subject says:
Undeliverable: how about learning each other
