I just set up 14 B$hATT DSL lines with the little Westell modems
last Thursday.

Despite the repeated incompetent and innexcusable insistence of
B$hATT that you must use Mafia$oft broken windows and intersnot
exploiter to set up your DSL, everything they are saying is a totally
fraudulent lie and you need nothing of the sort. All you need is the
account ID and password.

We set up and tested all of our 14 lines using Ubuntu and Firefox
via the web interface on the modem itself -- we just plugged an
Ubuntu laptop directly into the modem, opened Firefox, and the
modem's entry window for account and password info popped up
automagically.

We also had no problem getting the DSL active using a gateway
router by providing the the user ID and password for the account
in its PPOE config.

BTW, the default password for B$hATT accounts is the 7digits of
the phone number that the account is assigned to.

HTH!
