No.  This was the point of my email.  Java 5 works great under FC7 with
no compat libs.  I jumped on fedoraforums.org and found a similar post
about the same problem.  Guy did the exact same thing I did.  He
downgraded to Java 5 to get it to work then someone said to load compat
libs.
