[ale] converting rule sets

I am in the process of changing my mail client
from Evolution to Thunderbird.

Does anyone have a script that will change Evolutions
rule set which is xml


  <rule grouping="any" source="incoming">
      <title>Ale</title>
      <partset>
        <part name="subject">
          <value name="subject-type" type="option" value="contains"/>
          <value name="subject" type="string">
            <string>[ale]</string>
          </value>
        </part>
      </partset>


to a text file that Thunderbird uses
