[ale] Updates

On my dinosaur systems, I've noticed yum is much faster using sqlite. 

Also, it's the cost of being on the bleeding edge.  If you desire less 
updates, then you must suffer with less features, such as CentOS or RHEL 
for which FC7 is intended to be a beta/testing program.  The frequent 
updates can be annoying but I think it's worth it for the latest features. 

You could turn yum-updatesd off with chkconfig.  I almost wish yum 
distinguished between a security hole update and just an update.
