[ale] KDE desktop screwed up

I'd try the Control Center's Desktop and Appearance sections.  Look at the Themes and window style settings.  I modify from the OpenSuse default to the BII title bar style.  Probably resetting your window theme and style would reset the widgets you've lost.  I may be out in left field here, but I think this is what you would want to do.
