I will second dreamhost...I signed up with them during a promotion and
got 500G of space, 5 free domain name registrations (unlimited
hosting, and subdomains), and 5TB of traffic, ssh, svn, cvs etc...and
they support most everything, for me, rails support was important...it
came to about 7.95 a month
....even more importantly I will add DO NOT USE 1and1...I had their
free plan for 3 years (they ran a promotion) and I even wanted to
switch and I was not paying anything...I think the uptime was fine,
but everything else was fustrating
