Thanks All,

I think I will try the OO + VMware method + DIA + VDX solution.

My first day of using Linux as my desktop was surprisingly smooth. I
got a little nervous when I realized I was supposed to join a WebEx
and it was starting right then.

Based on my Windows experience I was afraid I would take 5 or 10
minutes to install the necessary plugins before it would work.
Instead, it just worked.

Another pleasant surprise was opening a xls attachment to an e-mail.
I did nothing special, it just opened automatically in calc!!

To be honest, even on this first day of real use, it has been easier
to use than a new XP install would have been.

Next I need to install a simple time logging app we use. It is a
pretty simple app, so I'm hoping wine will handle it. Never tried
wine before. Then I need to get a HP color laserjet network printer
going, but that should not be too hard.

Thanks All,
Greg
