I don't think it's possible unless you have 101 characters in a single
line.  Character movement is based on line and words.

You can however do word movement or line movement.

e.g.  101w = Move to the 101st word
      :101 = Move to the 101st line
      101l = Move to the 101st character but only within the current
line 	(if less than 101 characters it moves to last character in the
line.)
