Microsoft BOB ( http://toastytech.com/guis/bob.html) was Bill Gates 
wife's contribution to windows, it was a graphical dumbed down desktop. 
It's also where the annoying dog in the search feature came from, as 
well as clippy I believe.
And SoftRAM was a commercial ram doubler, but not a good one at that
