Trey,

  Probably the simplest would be to grab a "latest" live CD, perhaps ubuntu
or Knoppix. Boot into the "live CD" interface, open an xterm, and then run
"cat /proc/pci" or "lspci". That should give you a list of everything on the
PCI bus, which usually includes disk controllers, soundcards, etc.
