[ale] DHCP name resolution REAL sloooooow.....

What does DHCP have to do with name resolution?  I thought that 
is done by DNS.

is give an invalid server address for DNS.  

The other thing is if you are using DDNS and it isn't configured
correctly.

My first guess would be invalid address in resolv.conf as was mentioned.
