I'll bite: 

   Off Topic (OT) - Not directly relating to the main topic. 

   UCE - Unsolicited Commercial E-Mail - Valid well formed
       e-mail from a real company, valid mail server, with proper from
       and bounce addresses, with a commercial topic and 
       subject matter. 

   SPAM - dreck - invalid formatted, bad addresses, hijacked mail 
       senders/server.. from entities no sane person would do business 
       with. 

If he had mentioned if or how well Linux/*nix worked with this product, 
it'd be on topic and of high interest to me. As it was, it was 
an interesting plug of a device of general interest. 

Now if I could just find the S.O.B. I loaned my 250gb NAS to while he 
rebuilt his computer.. whom disappeared off the planet.. Sigh.
The sad thing is, I'll loan gear out again cause I'm a nice guy..
but maybe I'll need a deposit next time...
