[ale] "resolving host" time, waaaay too long ?

Sometimes ISPs will change DNS addresses on you and these days, they
never have the decency to inform you. If your ISP assigns dynamic IPs
and you've got multiple nodes with static IPs behind a NAT firewall or
some such, your firewall might have gotten correct DNS addresses
upstream but your static machines won't know it. The "old" DNS address
might still be working but it might be suboptimally "located" with
respect to you and they don't intend it to be hit anymore from where you
are.

So, if that scenario applies to you, see what the firewall thinks its
DNS pri/sec addresses are and set your internal machines appropriately.

If your NAT firewall or whatever runs a dhcpd for your internal use, it
should be parroting the DNS addresses it got from upstream to your
downstream machines that are set for DHCP.
