[ale] no path when starting window manager

No. The relevant lines are like this:

# Set the default system $PATH:
PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/opt/kde/bin"

And that used to work until I did the latest install.
