There's pain, there's suffering, and there's building OOo from scratch.

Just to ask a really off the wall question: Why? Is there no binary for
your platform?

The OOo SDK docs have the full instructions on how to build it. The most
important part is the build sequence. 

Something about a how-to-compile-it doc that is over 2MB...
