Hey everyone,

Not sure if anyone would have a solution to this off-hand, but I
have a raw dot-matrix printer hooked up that I frequently use to
print man pages and the like, and on my old system, it worked
perfectly... on this other one that I have it hooked up to now that
I have brought the printer home, however, it prints what I want, but
sometimes with random junk in it, and I'm not sure why.

I'm just dumping things to it, so for example, I'll use commands like:

  $ col -bx < TLS_README > /dev/lp0

Quite regularly. Among the random garbage I've seen it print thus
far are mostly extended characters, such as accented vowels.

Any ideas? The cable is properly shielded and brand new, and it's
hooked up using a standard parallel Centronix cable.

	TIA,
	Mike
