The issues I can think of are whether your kernel has framebuffer
support compiled in and whether or not SSH has to have X forwarding
turned on to allow kernel framebuffering through.  Once you have that
worked out, trying some of the techniques mentioned in the following
O'Reilly article might be a good test:
