I don't know anything about Debian, but I'm not sure you need the visor 
module.  I think it's necessary for certain palms, but not all.  I know 
that it's not loaded when I sync my Palm IIIc.

rmod the visor module and try the pilot-xfer command I sent my previous 
post.
