Advanced features at a reasonable cost.

For instance I am in the middle of quoting a application server with 5
TB of storage needs with snapshots and remote mirroring capability.

I'm still putting together the numbers for the customer, but using Linux
will likely save $50K to $100K.

I will still be quoting high-quality servers and storage.  (Likely HP
Itanium Servers and HP MSA-1500 storage).

Also I will likely add in a linux support contract from Novell (SLES
9.0).

Without Linux, the commercial products to provide disk snapshots and
remote disk replication are extremely expensive.  In this case I will
have to quote a HP EVA storage array because the MSA line does not
support those features.
