[ale] Keyboard lockups

Well, that is new enough that you must have really new hardware.  
Sometimes playing with BIOS settings will help but I don't know what to 
suggest.  What is your motherboard model?  Maybe someone could suggest 
an answer.  I was thinking that you might have a 2.4 kernel and would 
benefit from the newer APIC code.
