I tiried, but grub-install failed.  It was wll into the install that
it failed, so I tried a reboot anyway.  No luck.

I went to the Ghost / Linux compatibility and it specifically says
Grub is not supported. :(

I also doubled checked my filesystem type and it is reiserfs, which is
also not supported by Ghost.  I suspect I have filesystem issues that
are not showing up with just a quick mount, but they do when real work
is attempted.

I am falling back.  I have a drive identical to the one in the
original machine.  I just booted that machine into the SUSE Live Cd
and initiated a dd copy of hda to hdc.  That should do the job, but it
may take a while to finish the copy.  (80 GB).
