[ale] (OT) cwrsync XP USB drive

It will be necessary for me to plug my USB external hard drive into an XP box to download some _very_ large TIFF files (1.2GB+) because XP "times out" or drops the external drive connection. Normally I would use a Knoppix cd to copy the files, but I was asked to not use a "Linux thing" on this person's network (thank their IT id01t for the FUD). That said they don't mind if I use something like cwRsync (I don't understand where INSTALLING a program is OK, but using non-invasive software is not).

If I am remembering correctly I need to have SSH working on the system, if they don't have this (_highly_ probable) am I out of luck with cwRsync or is there a switch I can pass to the executable? What would the alternatives be?

I am in process of looking up cwRsync information, but was wondering if anyone had used it and could pass along some pointers.

Thanks all,
Preston
